Perio Plastics
Implant Accelerator’s Perio Plastics course is focused on the aesthetic and reconstructive management of gum and soft tissue deficiencies around both natural teeth and dental implants. The core curriculum covers advanced microsurgical principles and techniques, including procedures like aesthetic crown lengthening for "gummy smiles" and root coverage surgery to treat gingival recession using a variety of grafts. Participants receive extensive instruction and hands-on training to master flap designs, different tunneling techniques, and the harvesting and manipulation of connective tissue grafts (or allografts) for predictable soft tissue augmentation, all aimed at optimizing the final smile line, ensuring long-term peri-implant health, and achieving superior aesthetic outcomes in the visible zone.
Gain a deep understanding of the healing process after periodontal plastic surgery, focusing on the principles of microsurgery, incision and suture techniques, and the biological basis of tissue regeneration and graft integration.
Biological Foundations & Surgical Principles
Techniques & Hands-On Training
Develop practical skills through guided hands-on sessions covering free gingival and connective tissue grafts, coronally positioned flaps for single and multiple recessions, modified tunneling techniques, peri-implant soft tissue management, and aesthetic crown lengthening for gummy smile correction.
